METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING SLIP IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce communication cost and storage cost by decompositing an input slip image to plural images allowed to be hierarchically superposed to previously applied reference image to compress data. SOLUTION: An image input part 104 samples a surface image of a slip as a slip image. A character recognition part 103 segments a read area from the inputted slip image recognizes character patterns and converts the patterns into character codes. An image analysis part 102 is provided with an original slip digital file as reference images. An image compression part 101 independently compresses an image obtained after removing preprinting and a red area image which are generated from one slip and transmits these compressed image data to a remote control part 105 through a controller 100 and a communication line 110. While observing a doucment displayed on a screen, a user checks or corrects the recognized result. An image extending part 106 extends the compressed preprinting removed image and red area image and an image synthesis part 10 synthesizes both the extended images on the reference image by optically specifying colors.
