PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell which is high in voltage, high in energy density, furthermore is excellent in charging/ discharging characteristics, and is also durable in its cyclic life. SOLUTION: This secondary cell is formed out of a negative electrode, a positive electrode, and of nonaqueous electrolyte high in lithium ion conductivity, as negative electrode material, negative electrode active material capable of occluding/releasing lithium, is used, and as electrolyte material, nonaqueous electrolyte high in lithium ion conductivity, is used. In this case, as negative electrode material, the composite compound of sulfate or carbonate with lithium represented by a composition formula LixPbA (where x>=0, A=SO4 or CO3 ). |
