PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display characteristics by preventing reflection on a shielding film surface formed on an element substrate of an active matrix type panel. SOLUTION: Picture element electrodes 230 electrically separated from each picture element, TFT 200, and a shielding film 300 are provided on a substrate 100. The shielding film 300 is at least arranged with the gap of picture element electrodes 230 to come in succession, and the surface is exposed via interlayer insulating film 221 in the gap of the picture element electrodes 230. The shielding film 300 is composed of a conductive material such as metals and an insulating medium film 320 absorbing visible light formed thereon. Visible light made incident from the space of the picture element electrodes 230 is absorbed by the medium film 320, which prevents light from reflecting on the electrode layer 310. |
