PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectifier circuit in which the power factor is improved, higher harmonics do not enter a power source transformer, and a large capacitance capacitor is unnecessary for a filter circuit by making an input voltage and an input current have the same waveform. SOLUTION: This circuit consists of an AC power source 10, which is connected to the primary side of a power source transformer 11 and has a maximum voltage value Vi, an absolute value rectifier circuit 1, and a filter circuit 2. The absolute value rectifier circuit 1 rectifies an AC current and outputs an absolute value voltage, having the maximum value Vi and the mean value (2/π)Vi, by turning on and off analog switches 12, 14. The smoothing circuit 2 cuts off a DC component from the absolute value rectification and cancels AC components by a ripple cancel choke 17, which has a turn ratio of 1:1 and a coupling coefficient of k=1, thereby outputting a DC voltage, whose means value level is (2/π)Vi.
