PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of an equipment and make a fine adjustment to a phase by installing a vector arithmetic circuit for vectorially combining the secondary side voltage of a step-down transformer with its primary side connected to an AC power supply by means of an electronic circuit and making a desired phase synchronizing signal by combining the secondary side voltage and the output of the vector arithmetic circuit. SOLUTION: A step-down transformer 21 isΔ-Y-connected to amplifiers 22-24 and adders 25-27. Synchronizing signals 'u', 'v', 'w' are supplied to a thyristor rectifier and synchronizing signals 'u', 'v', 'w' are supplied to another thyristor rectifier. The synchronizing signal 'u' can be obtained by adding, by means of the adder 25, the synchronizing signal 'w'-K1 times amplified by an amplifier 24 to the synchronizing signal 'u'. In other words, by adjusting the amplification factor K1 of the amplifier 24 and the polarity of the output, a phase differenceθbetween the synchronizing signals 'u' and 'u' can be adjusted to any value. The other synchronizing signals can be set in a like manner. The synchronizing signal 'u' can also be obtained by adding the synchronizing signal 'v' amplified by the amplifier 23 to the synchronizing signal 'u'.
