PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver that hardly causes an operation mistake with a high operating convenience and an enhanced transmission efficiency. SOLUTION: Patterns and positions of remote control buttons 34 36 are stored in a ROM 6 in an integrated receiver and decoder IRD 2. A CPU 8 extracts the pattern and positions of the remote control buttons 34-36 from the ROM 6 in response to the instruction of display of icons 34'-36' by a program and displays them on a TV screen 37a via a video composite section 5. Thus, the patterns and positions of the remote control buttons 34-36 are always matching patterns and positions of the icons 34'-36'. |
