PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shocks to a human body due to rapid vibrations at the arrival of an incoming call to a telephone set put in a breast pocket by controlling the vibration by a vibrator to be increased gradually. SOLUTION: A channel voice codec 5 processes an incoming call signal received via an antenna 2 and a reception circuit 1 and provides an output of the processed signal to a control circuit 10. The control circuit 10 consists of a microprocessor and controls each section, based on a ROM 11 storing a program of the operation and a RAM 12 stores information required for the operation of the control circuit 10. The notice of the incoming call has been selected beforehand not by a bell 13 but by a vibrator through an entry means. When the control circuit 10 recognizes the incoming call signal from a base station, the control circuit 10 outputs a pulse signal to a drive circuit 16. The vibrator 15 generates a somewhat smaller vibrator for first 0.3 sec by the pulse signal and has maximum vibrations produced after the 0.3 sec.
