PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert an internet home page information displayed on a screen into a layout suited to printing in the case of printing the information. SOLUTION: The document information layout conversion device is provided with a document data analysis part 12 for analyzing the document structure of document information (e.g. information on an Internet home page) written by document structure description language capable of describing document structure, a layout conversion information generating means 14 for outputting layout conversion information for converting the layout of the document information and a layout conversion means 15 for inputting the layout conversion information from the means 14 and the analytical result from the analysis part 2, converting the document information into a layout based on the layout conversion information and outputting the converted layout. The converted layout is a layout to be generally used for a print such as newspaper and a magagine and elements (e.g. a heading, a subheading, a taxt, a photograph, graphics, etc.), constituting information contents to be presented can be arranged in optional positional relation. |
