PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate lowering of a transmission capacity in alignment for respective cores in an optional connecting face, and allow easy use. SOLUTION: This multicore optical fiber contains cores 1, 2, 3, 4 embedded to an optical clad 5 and containing dopants respectively. Since one core 3 called a specific core has the central part 9 doped with no dopant and since the other cores 1, 2, 4 is doped thoroughly with dopants, the specific core 3 is used for a local sign to align the cores of the optical fibers respectively. |
