USE OF ELLAGIC ACID AND ITS DERIVATIVES IN COSMETICS AND DERMATOLOGY

The invention concerns the use of ellagic acid and its derivatives in cosmetics and pharmaceutics, particularly in dermatology. More particularly it concerns all the applications aiming at reinforcing the dermal-epidermal junction or improving hair condition, by increasing the proportion of collagen VII in the presence of keratinocytes and/or fibroblasts. In particular, said applications involve toning up the skin, reducing wrinkles and improving hair condition.
