<p>A nickel-hydrogen storage battery capable of preventing a great decrease in the battery capacity and cycle life even when the battery is used under high-temperature conditions. In a nickel-hydrogen storage battery in which a cathode using a cathodic active material containing hydrogen absorbing alloy powder as a main component, and an anode using an anodic active material containing nickel hydroxide powder as a main component are provided in a battery jar via an electrolyte-impregnated separator, the cathodic active material containing a copper compound, the anodic active material containing an aggregation of coated particles produced by forming a layer of coating comprising a sodium-containing cobalt compound on the surfaces of nickel hydroxide particles, and an oxide or a hydroxide of bismuth, calcium, ytterbium, manganese, copper, scandium, zirconium or yttrium which are added to the aggregation of the mentioned coated particles.</p> |
