Subdivision of memory capacity in car radio system

The memory used in a road vehicle radio for storage of program data is subdivided into separate areas (11,12,13). Access to the memory is made using a controller (7) and input from the receiver (3) can be identified as different sources, e.g. data, programs, etc. each handled by different modules, e.g. a traffic radio decoder (4), a time switch (5), and a microphone (6). Entry into the memory is controlled on an assigned priority basis.
