The optical fibre cable (CA) has at least one tensileproof element (CE), a cable sheath (AS) and at least one optical transmission element (optical fibre) which is moveably accommodated in a chamber (CB). The thermal contraction of the cable (dL/L) in the 20 DEG C-lower temperature limit is selected in such a way that it does not deviate more than 30 % from the thermal contraction (dL/L) of the optical transmission element (LB1-LBn) used.
