The elastic sprung intermediate piece is between 25 and 35 centimeters long and incorporated in the traditional rein. The rein can be used in breaking-in horses with snaffle and bit and also with lunging harness. The intermediate piece can be made of textile bands, rubber bands or spiral springs.
