Method for impact-free mains synchronization of large wind power plants

The method involves using AC power controllers in the connecting leads between the mains and the wind generator. Before and during the mains superposition in the phase of generator starting, the slip-dependent total reactance of the generator is determined. The reactance is used as a measure for the firing advance angle for the control of the converters in the way that with increasing size of the total reactance, the advance angle is also increased. To evaluate the size of the slip-dependent total reactance of the generator, the converters are subjected to a constant minimal advance angle.
