A device for fixing a tear-off strip (3) to a web (2) of wrapping material, in which a deviation roller (6) heated by heating elements (9; 40) has an outer surface (7) arranged to receive the tear-off strip (3) and the web (2) of wrapping material in positions superimposed one on the other and in mutual contact; the surface (7) is divided into at least three bands (7a, 7b, 7c), a first (7a) of which is continuous and intermediate to the remaining bands (7b, 7c), is positioned when in use in proximity to the tear-off strip (3), is traversed by suction holes (52; 46), and has a thermal conductivity which is relatively high and is higher than the thermal conductivity of the adjacent bands (7b, 7c). <IMAGE> |
