The footstep bearing assembly, for the end of a spinning rotor shaft, has a holder (16) in the shaft for the ceramic pin support (19), concentric to the shaft axis, which is linked to the ambient environment by air escape passages (25,27,28). The air escape passages (25,27,28) are radial drillings in the shaft (3), at equal angle alignments through the cross-section of the end zone (3b) of the shaft with the support holder (16), and they have the same diameter. The air escape drilling diameter (35) is a tenth of the diameter (36) of the shaft section (3b) at 0.2-0.5 mm. The air escape drillings are positioned at the zone (18) where the support holder is not occupied by the support (19). The ends (21,23) of the support are identical. The open end (20) of the shaft, forming the support holder, allows the insertion of the support with play, and the remainder of the holder dimensions hold the support in place in a press fit. The length of the holder giving a press fit to the support is three to four times the length of the section where the support has play within the holder.
