A container for use in a motor vehicle, especially for location in the rim of a spare wheel, comprises a trough section for tools and vehicle accessories, which has a lid to lock and/or cover it. The trough (2) and the lid (3) consist of plastics moldings made of foamed or expanded polypropylene or polyethylene granulate material, welded together.
