The loop for a foot in sports equipment, and especially a snowboard binding, is composed of at least two flat sections of a flexible material, to be bent so that at least the leading part of the foot is wholly covered. The sections (1-3) are bonded together at their facing edges (11,21,23,31). The edges (11,21,23,31) of the sections (1-3), to be bonded together, are curved for at least part (15,25,26,35) of their lengths of different facing curvatures. The sections (1-3) are of a foamed plastics and pref. ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA).
