The liquid container (1), especially a drink container such as a coffee pot, has a plastics handle (3) with a surface (8) connected to a glass container (2) using a long-life adhesive layer (7). The handle fixing surface has members (12,18) for increasing the adhesive surface area, which are partially embedded. The adhesive is a quick hardening material.
