The system to take off heat from a vehicle motor (1), has a thermostat (33) in the coolant circuit (3). The hot coolant fluid is passed through a heat exchanger (4) as a heating medium. The heat exchanger (4) is at the outer surface of a pipe (3d) section which returns the coolant to the motor, downstream of the thermostat (33).
