The leg has a height adjuster (1) sleeve with locking rings (6,8) slidable along the inner leg tube. The rings have centering guides (5,7) form-locked to the outer wall of the inner tube, so that the other axial end of the ring and the end of the outer tube are axially supported and the ring centers the inner and outer tubes with respect to each other.
