Two-dimensional detector for gamma quanta and high energy x-rays

Collimator (4) channels contain photoluminescent material (5). Its thickness is selected to allow sufficient of the incident radiation to interact with the material. Following exposure to radiation, a light impulse causes luminescence of the material. The emitted light is recorded by a detector sensitive to its wavelength. This produces the working signal, enabling two-dimensional recording.
