The roller bearing has one roller element (5) and an outer ring (4) which has a specifically hardened outer surface while the inner surface serves as an orbit for the roller element (5). The outer surface of the outer ring (4) touches other components and works as a roller, while the outer surface of the inner ring (3) serves as an orbit for the roller element. The degree of hardness of the core area of the outer ring (4) should be 500 to 650 Hv.
