The hard disc (20) is located in a housing (25) and is rotated by a spindle motor. Built into the housing is a pivot mounted (23) magnetic head (21) carrier (22) that is moved across the disc by a moving coil motor. The motor has a lower yoke and an upper yoke with side yokes (34) that is fixed to a cover element (12). Attached to this is a magnet (30) that forms part of the motor circuit. An Independent claim is included for a cover for the disc drive.
