The device has a two-part valve piston (6), with a first part (31) acting with an actuator rod (7), and a second part (32), e.g. a sleeve, which slides through the first part and carries a second sealing seat (16). Elements (34,35,36) to give discontinuous increase in the intensifier force form a power-transmitting connection of the second valve part with the control housing (8,14) when the second sealing seat is at a set distance (a) to the valve body (10,23). Movement of the valve piston against the actuating direction of the control valve (5) switches off the effect of the elements.
