The invention relates to a piezo-electric element (1) comprising a first and a second stack (3,4) containing of a plurality of piezo-electric ceramic layers (6) and an intermediate layer arranged between said first and second stacks (3,4). The intermediate layer is configured as a supporting body (9) made from a fibre composite material or glass. The inventive multi-morphous piezo-electric element (1) has a high degree of efficiency and high mechanical stability and can be operated at low voltages. |
