A brake control device for a car has the following components: a wheel cylinder fastened on a wheel of a car; a master cylinder which generates a brake fluid pressure according to an amount of brake pedal activity and conducting the fluid pressure to the wheel cylinder; a pump which sucks the brake fluid into a reservoir and generates a brake fluid pressure. A pressure store which stores the fluid pressure generated by the pump; a changeover valve which is located between the master cylinder and the wheel cylinder to separate the two in its rest state and to link them in its operating state; a pipeline which connects the pressure store to the wheel cylinder in the rest position of the changeover valve; and a controller which is located on the pipeline and controls the fluid pressure in the pressure store according to the amount of brake pedal activity. The pressure store contains a hollow housing which has: a cylinder (11); a distribution component 913) which divides the cylinder into a gas chamber (14) and a fluid chamber 915), in which the fluid pressure generated by the pump is stored and varies a volume of the gas chamber and the fluid chamber; and an open air chamber which is located on the distribution component.
