The pressure reservoir has discharge connections (21) leading to the fuel injection valves provided at the end sections (12) of an elongate hollow profile (20), with the axis of each discharge connection at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the hollow profile. Each end section may have a polygonal cross-section with the discharge connections provided in its side surfaces, the discharge connections at the opposite ends of the hollow profile are arranged in mirror-image symmetry.
