INTEGRATION SCHEME FOR A MOBILE TELEPHONE NETWORK WITH FIXED TERMINALS AND A WIRELINE NETWORK

Methods and apparatus are described for providing fixed terminal access to a mob ile telecommunications network in which subscriber's mobile stations in the mobile telecommunications network and the fixed terminals are addressable with subscrib er information references of the mobile telecommunications network. The fixed termi nals are connected to a local loop of a wireline network. An interface unit is provided b etween the mobile telecommunications network and the wireline network at a node of the mobi le telecommunications network. Services of the mobile telecommunication network to and from a subscriber's fixed terminal are provided through the interface and the wi reline network. The wireline network may be a public service telephone network. Methods and appartus are also described for providing storage means for the subscriber information related to the fixed terminals. The storage means may be included in the interface unit or in apparatus at the subscriber's premises.
