PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to select correctly a hand-held applicator to which specified coating material suitable for a coating color of an object to be coated is supplied from among a number of the hand-operated applicators without no requirement of visually discriminating the coating color of the object to be coated when the object to be coated is coated with the specified coating material suitable for the coated color by the hand-held applicator in an automatic coating apparatus. SOLUTION: Based on control data for automatic color-changing of an automatic coating apparatus in which an order of coating color and charging of an object to be coated conveyed by a conveyor is programmed, and check data for determining the coating color of the object to be coated by the automatic coating apparatus and specified coating material suitable for the coating color, e.g. only a valve 9d of a coating material-distributing pipe 7d for supplying the selected specified coating material is opened by means of control signals CP and CQ of a controller 10 for judging the coating color of the object to be coated W and selecting the specified coating material suitable for the coating color, and only a display lamp 5d indicative of a stop position of the hand-operated applicator 2d to which the coating material is supplied from the coating material-distributing pipe 7d is turned on to urge selection of the hand-operated applicator 2d. |
