FOAMED POLYESTER RESINS WITH FLAME RETARDANT PROPERTIES

Flame retardant compositions comprising a polyester resin having melt strength higher than 8 centinewton and intrinsic viscosity greater than 0.8 dl/g, suitable for the preparation of foamed cellular material and a flame retardant compound capable of not reducing below 3 Nm the torque intake of the resin in a heating test at 280.degree.C under nitrogen for 10 minutes in the presence of 10% in weight of the flame retardant compound.
