PRODUCTION OF NOZZLE PLATE FOR INK JET RECORDING HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nozzle plate having a nozzle being used in an ink jet recording head for jetting ink selectively from a nozzle communicating with a channel by varying the pressure of ink filling the channel selectively, especially a method for facilitating production of a nozzle having enhanced ink jet performance. SOLUTION: A plurality of planar bodies of different material having different inclination angle of hole being opened through irradiation with a laser beam are laminated sequentially starting from one having a smallest inclination angle to produce a laminate 16. The laminate 16 is then irradiated with a laser beam 17 from the side of planar body having a smallest inclination angle to make a hole 5 having such a cross-section as the taper angle of each material layer increase gradually and the opening thus made is employed as a nozzle 5.
