<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove trace components, such as Al, Ti and Fe, from a zirconium raw material. SOLUTION: In this method for refining the zirconium, (1) a soln. mixture contg. zirconium ions is prepd. from the zirconium raw material. (2) Hydroxycalix[n]arene-p-sulfonate ((n) is an even number of >=2) is added to the soln. mixture, by which precipitate is formed. (3) An org. acid is added to this precipitate and the formed zirconium-org. acid complex is recovered.</p> |
