<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote decomposition by microorganism and favorably increase composting and effectively reduce malodor at initial stage of fermentation by including a porous material and an acid anhydride as main ingredients. SOLUTION: This deodorizing fermentation auxiliary agent is obtained by including 100 pts.wt. porous material, preferably calcium silicate or tobermorite and 1-100 pts.wt. acid anhydride, preferably phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride or glutamic anhydride as main ingredients. Decomposition by microorganism is promoted and effect increasing decay ripeness of composting is obtained by using the porous material as a material for providing growth environment of microorganism. The acid anhydride is reacted with ammonia and amine of malodor ingredient generated by fermentation to produce an amide, which is then fixed to exhibit deodorizing effect by using the acid anhydride. Fermentation auxiliary agent in an amount of 0.1 m<3> (about 0.03-0.15 t expressed in terms of dried weight) based on 1 m<3> raw material of compost is used.</p> |
