POLYESTER YARN AND FABRIC CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a fabric not only excellent in color development and dark colorability but also improved in handle free from a waxy feeling of characteristic polyester yarn and a yarn constituting the fabric. SOLUTION: This polyester yarn is a yarn having a structure in which the ratio of a major axis (R1) and a minor axis (R2) of a fiber cross section (R1/R2) is >=2 and <=2.5, flat shape parts of a cross-sectional shape having >=2μm and <=4μm thickness and >=5μm and <=40μm length are connected in an axial symmetry at a central part corresponding to the major axis and the interval of adjoining flat shape parts isη3μm. The yarn comprises a polyester containing >=1 wt.% and <=30 wt.% of inorganic fine particles having >=10 nm and <=800 nm average particle diameter.
