PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, good in hue, excellent in physical properties such as heat resistance or durability as a binder for paving and capable of utilizing a natural color for the paving by including a paraffinic heavy mineral oil, a 5C-based resin and a thermoplastic elastomer therein. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) 100 pts.wt. of a paraffinic heavy mineral oil, (B) 165-250 pts.wt. of a 5C-based resin, (C) 2-40 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic elastomer and, as necessary, (D) 1-30 pts.wt. of an ethylenic (co)polymer. The composition is prepared by heating the component A at 160-180 deg.C, adding and dissolving the component B therein, further adding the component C and dissolving the component C therein at 170-180 deg.C. The component A preferably has 65-70%Cp , 20-30%CN and 6-9%CA obtained by, e.g. an n-d-M analytical method. The paraffinic heavy mineral preferably has 30-35 mm<2> /s kinematic viscosity at 100 deg.C and >=95 viscosity index. |
