PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the performance of biological treatment by spraying water on an NOx-contg. porous body in NOx-contg. gas to wash out NOx ions, concentrating the NOx ions in the washing liq. by electrodialysis and treating the concd. NOx ions by biological reaction. SOLUTION: A porous body 4 disposed on the inner wall of a tunnel 1 is washed with a washing liq. from a spray 3 to dissolve NO2 discharged from automobiles 2 in the washing liq. on the surface of the porous body 4 and the washing liq. contg. the dissolved NOx is gathered in a recovery tank 7 through side ditches 5 and recovery pipes 6. The gathered washing liq. is sent to a solid-liq. separation tank 8, freed of sludge 10, sent to an electrodialysis cell 11 and concd. to form a concd. NOx ion-contg. liq. L2. This liq. L2 is sent to a denitrification tank 18 and brought into contact with denitrification bacteria in a carrier 20 to reduce NO2 in the liq. L2 to N2 , which is then discharged into a vapor phase. |
