PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently purify a fluid while lessening the amounts of photocatalysts to be used by mixing a plurality of photocatalysts, which purify a fluid by oxidizing capability of titania by being radiated with light, with a plurality of dummy bodies having light transmissive property and filling a treatment case having a flow inlet and a flow outlet with the resultant mixture. SOLUTION: While being mixed with a plurality of dummy bodies 4 having light transmissive property, a plurality of photocatalysts 3, which purify a fluid by oxidizing capability of titania by being radiated with light are packed in a treatment case 1 and further an ultraviolet lamp 5 as a light source is installed in the center of the treatment case 1 and connected with an electric power source by an electric cord 6. Filters are installed in the flow inlet and the flow outlet of the case 1 to collect coarse dust in water and at the same time to prevent the photocatalysts 3 and the dummy bodies 4 from flowing out. Since the photocatalysts 3 are mixed with dummy bodies 4 in the treatment case 1 in such a manner, the amounts of the costly photocatalysts 3 per the volume of the treatment case 1 can be decreased and a water purifying apparatus A can be obtained at a low cost. |
