<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus and a method for ozone treatment of biological sludge allowing ozone to be absorbed at high rate with high loads, conducting the ozone treatment efficiently, preventing clogging, reducing foaming, and capable of having high power efficiency and high volume reduction rate of the sludge. SOLUTION: Ozone treatment is conducted efficiently by a method wherein sludge to be treated 11 is allowed to pass in series through plural reaction tanks 3a, 3b, 3c, and ozone 16 is injected into the sludge to be heated 11, and the sludge to be treated 11 is introduced to each of the reaction tanks 3a, 3b, 3c and agitated therein by agitation of agitators 20a, 20b, 20c in each of the reaction tanks 3a, 3b, 3c under pressure to be brought into contact with the ozone 16, and thereby the ozone 16 is allowed to be absorbed to the biological sludge, and at this time, an absorbed amount of the ozone 16 in each of the reaction tanks 3g, 3b, 3c is almost equalized (±20%).</p> |
