PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an installation area by providing a transfer machine for selectively transferring a cutting tool between respective machining units of a storage device. SOLUTION: When a cutting tool is transferred from a tool stocker 172 to one of machining units 28, a transfer machine 178 parallel advances along a rail 180 to approach one of storage positions 176 and takes out a cutting tool from a storage position 176. Secondly, the transfer machine 178 parallel advances along the rail 180 and approaches to the transfer position 23. An automatic door 44 is opened, and transfer machines 178 and 40 are cooperated with each other so as to transfer the cutting tool from the transfer machine 178 to the transfer machine 40. The machining unit 28 and the transfer machine 40 are divided to either one of transfer stations 23, 23', 23", 23''' so that the automatic door 42 is opened. |
