PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an EGR device with an ERG cooler with good durability as being capable of scavenging the EGR cooler, preventing dewing, dust deposition and corrosion due to sulfuric acid and maintaining cooling performance during the non-operation of EGR. SOLUTION: In a EGR device for an engine with a supercharger to dilute EGR gas, before passing through an EGR cooler, with fresh air, an EGR valve is open to control the amount of EGR gas, a flow control valve is open to control the amount of flesh air for dilution and a suction throttle provided between the branch portion of a dilution branch passage in a suction passage and the combination portion of an EGR passage is partly open, during transfer from an EGR operating condition into an EGR non-operating condition, so that sucked flesh air can be carried into the EGR cooler during the non- operation of an EGR for scavenge and cleaning. |
