PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely excavate a sharp curve by making the jacking blade of an excavator turnable in the all directions of upward and downward, right and left in the construction means of a tunnel excavated by the excavator. SOLUTION: An excavator has a jacking blade 7 on the edge, a rotation drive mechanism on the rear part, and the drive mechanism 8 is fixed on the center shaft of a tube-like inner cylinder 9. A device directing the excavator in the all directions of upward and downward, right and left in the excavation direction is incorporated in the drive mechanism 8, and has a receiver for receiving a signal from a transmitter. In the case where a tunnel is desired to be excavated in the right direction, the inner cylinder 9, the drive mechanism 8 and the jacking blade 7 can be turned the right and left, upward and downward directions when the transmitter is operated to transmit the signal to the receiver. Therefor even if it is a relative sharp curve, an amount of excessive excavation is small, and the tunnel can be constructed. Thus, the excavation of the curve tunnel is enabled, and the resistant value of the curve part is equivalent to that of the straight tunnel regardless of a radius of curvature and curve length. |
