PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device which can enhance flexural rigidity of bending parts with a bottom plate part in vertical plate parts of a backup plate and can restrain reduction in holding power of cover side wall parts at air bag expanding time. SOLUTION: An air bag device 10 has an air bag 11, a cover 16 to cover the air bag, a back holder 23 to hold the air bag and the cover and a backup plate 29 to hold cover side wall parts 18 and 19 by cooperating with the back holder. The side wall parts 18 and 19 are held by the back holder 23 so as to be sandwiched by inserting backup plate vertical plate parts 32 and 34 into inserting grooves 18b and 19b by locking a locking hook 25a of a back holder installing wall part 25 on locking grooves 18a and 19a. Parts 31 and 32 bending from a bottom plate part 30 of the vertical plate parts 32 and 34 in the backup plate 29, are formed by being bent in a plan view condition. |
