PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bubbles from generating in the residual fuel in a high- pressure fuel pump even if the ambient temperature under the engine cover temporarily rises immediately after the engine is shut off, in the fuel feeding system in an outboard motor. SOLUTION: In the fuel system that contains an spare fuel tank 89 that can receive excess fuel returned from the fuel injection valve 94 side of an engine E, a high-pressure fuel pump 91 that sends the stored fuel of this spare fuel tank 89 under pressure to the fuel injection valve 91 of the engine E, and a fuel filter 92 that filters the discharged fuel of this high-pressure fuel pump 91 under the engine cover, the high-pressure fuel pump 91 is covered with a heat insulator 134 that protects it from surrounding heat. |
