PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently treat organic wastes comprising cells which have cell walls and whose treatment speed is generally slow by crushing cells of organic wastes comprising cells having cell walls and then fermenting the crushed material without separating a liquid matter. SOLUTION: Cells of organic wastes comprising cells having cell walls are crushed. In this case, the cells are not needed to be completely crushed but sufficient to be broken partly in the cell walls to make the cytoplasm components leaking out. Then, without being treated for solid-liquid separation, the resultant crushed material is fermented. The fermentation means that organic material of the crushed material is decomposed by the function of microorganisms and includes anaerobic fermentation and aerobic fermentation and either method can be employed. The treated material obtained by fermentation may be as manure or feed. Since the crushed material is fermented without solid-liquid separation, the obtained material is especially enriched with effective fertilizer components such as nitrogen, phosphorus and the likes and highly useful for manure. |
