PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire of good controllability such that the curving direction of the end of the guide wire can be detected so easily that the guide wire can surely be introduced into the desired part. SOLUTION: A guide wire has a main body 1 consisting of a core 2 and a synthetic resin film 3 covering the outer periphery of the core 2, the synthetic resin film 3 being provided with an indication means 4b indicating the curving direction of the end 1a of the main body 1, the indication means 4b provided in such a way as to go along the direction of the axis of the core 2 of the main body 1 and to take the form of a line or strip along the overall length or part of the main body 1, at a position where it coincides with the inwardly curved surface of the end 1a of the main body 1. |
