LOCK CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent locking before a fellow passenger gets out of a vehicle from being performed by transmitting a return signal from a portable machine which receives a transmission request signal transmitted from a transmitter in a vehicle after a driver gets out of the vehicle, and receiving it with a receiver in the vehicle to operate a door lock control means. SOLUTION: When the door of a driver's seat becomes from open to close, a transmission request signal transmitted for a fixed time from a transmitter 16 is received to transmit a return signal by a portable machine 24, and only when the identification code of the return signal is conformed to the identification code stored in a body multiple ECU 10, a door lock motor 14 is driven to lock it. When a driver having the portable machine 24 gets out of the vehicle and turns round toward the vehicle, the portable machine 24 receives the transmission request signal from the transmitter 16 and transmits the return signal, and by receiving this with a receiver 20, the door is automatically locked. Meanwhile when the driver does not turn round toward the vehicle after getting out of the vehicle and separates from it, the portable machine 24 does not receive the transmission request signal and does not transmits the return signal, and hence the door is not locked. Even if the driver having the portable machine 24 separates from the vehicle before the fellow passenger gets out of the vehicle, the door lock of the vehicle does not operate and locking before the fellow passenger gets out of the vehicle is prevented from being performed.
