A lighting fixture for a gas discharge lamp is claimed. The lighting fixture comprises a sealed housing, a movable magnetic member disposed exterior of the sealed housing and a magnetically responsive member disposed inside the sealed housing and electrically connected in circuit to the gas discharge lamp. The movement of the first magnetic member activates the second magnetic member in response to which power is supplied to the gas discharge lamp. |
