PURPOSE:To keep input operation in good conditions by performing the conversion to plural types of characters while using the only character type conversion key and a character variety conversion key arranged on the home position for thumbs of a keyboard by a user. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 10 on which a character type designation key 8 and a character variety designation key 9 are arranged, a display 12 displaying the input characters of the keyboard 10, and a processor 14 controlling the display of the display 12 in accordance with the input of the keyboard 10, are provided. The inputted characters are converted into the type of character indicated by the heading data of each set lines in a character type conversion table 16 by a change means 18, and converted into the type of character indicated at the heading data of the next line by a change means 20. The input data is converted into the variety of character indicated at the next data of the present line by a conversion means 22. The converted inputted characters are displayed on the display 12, and the display character is defined by a definition means 26. |
